Shiel Sexton Identity

Architects, like graphic designers, place tremendous faith in their vendors to execute their vision for design without compromise. As a renowned commercial builder, Shiel Sexton had to demonstrate their design affinity and commitment to architects with an elevated brand.

Each logo represents an area of business focus. HVAC, Safety, Iron, Electrical, Creative and Rebar

This is by far the oldest project in my book, but I’m the proudest of it in many ways. After defining their production capabilities, we created sculptures representing Shiel Sexton’s unique approach to each capability.

Each sculpture was installed in their new corporate office, and each S was photographed and used as part of a logo family. Around the Mid-west, the brand has become known for its giant S’s.

Working with David Kirby Bellamy to create these sculptures was a pleasure.

Also, the blurry dude? Me.

An enduring and immediately recognizable brand identity for almost twenty years.
